Scientific article: Knowledge of malaria and its uncomplicated treatment with Argemone mexicana in Ethiopia

Argemone mexicana

In Western Ethiopia, a study was conducted by the Antenna Foundation’s Medicine Unit and Jimma University to assess the knowledge and use of Argemone mexicana in the prevention and treatment of malaria. The survey of 552 participants and 18 traditional healers revealed that this medicinal plant is known in this part of the world and is used in particular for the treatment of malaria.
