For over 30 years, Antenna Foundation has been involved in scientific research and the dissemination of innovative technological, economic and medical solutions to meet the essential needs of the most disadvantaged.
The Foundation is now going through an important transitional stage. At the end of 2022, its main donor and its founder-chairman withdrew. A new Foundation Board has been constituted to ensure the governance of Antenna and its restructuring. The new Board wishes to express its gratitude to the outgoing donor and former Board members for their support to Antenna. We are determined to strengthen the means to successfully accomplish the foundation’s mission and to continue the ongoing actions in favour of the vulnerable.
The economic context requires a reorganisation of Antenna, which unfortunately implies laying off an important part of its team. We would like to thank the departing staff for their commitment to the Foundation over the past years.
In order to guarantee the sustainability of its mission, Antenna is reinventing itself. The new Foundation Board and management will now work with an optimised team, complemented by a network of contributors. This network, based on a peer-to-peer social contract, will be dedicated to supporting the successful implementation of projects on the ground, and to boosting the co-production of information resources in order to increase the power of action of the partners in the field and improve the life of communities. This approach, based on the principles of contribution economy and the logic of the commons, will facilitate an endogenous integration of technologies while respecting local cultures, resources and talents.
It is important to stress that this restructuring is being carried out with rigour, to ensure Antenna’s long-term operational and economic viability, which is essential to meet the commitments made in the field. The foundation will continue to work with its partners and donors in the implementation of current and future projects.
